During this experience, 6 billion of your blood cells will die. Over 2 billion other cells in your body will die. Without you noticing. Every second your cells die and are restored until they do no more.

DØDSSUITE (DEATH SUITE) is an immersive sound installation. You open a door and enter a labyrinth of hospital rooms. Music and voices guide you through their emptiness. Here are traces of life, but no people. Here someone has lived who no longer does. Here you will meet death.

DEATH SUITE is music theatre created by director Sigrid Johannesen, composer Viktor Dahl and set designer Ida Grarup. The performance is created based on documentary material from extensive interviews with terminal patients and relatives as well as music created with a choir of people with the lung disease COPD. With yourself in the lead role, you experience key scenes from the lives of terminal patients and are confronted with your own mortality in the encounter with those who died before you.
