“Friends with Benefits” is a collaboration between the music venue ALICE and SORT/HVID. Over three Fridays, ALICE curates concerts performed within the set design of Sort/Hvid’s production BAD MEXICAN DOG – a surreal, ritualistic “charter-holiday hell” based on Jonas Eika’s sci-fi short story of the same name from the award-winning collection Efter Solen (After the Sun).
Three international bands are invited to explore the production’s set design and interpret it through their own musical and performative expressions. The set design thus becomes more than just a backdrop for the concerts; it becomes an active part of the experience, where music, body, ritual, and space intertwine.

Poetry, surrealism and Latin American neo-folk on voice and double bass.
Fuensanta’s music opens a surreal perspective on the world. The Mexican singer and double bassist moves freely between the intimate, the experimental and the physical, with a poetic and dreamlike approach to Latin American neo-folk.
Born in the lush forests of Veracruz, Mexico, Fuensanta has been based in Amsterdam since 2015, where she has established herself as a unique voice on the European experimental scene. In an unconventional interplay between crystalline vocals, double bass and free improvisation, Fuensanta creates a deeply personal take on Latin American folklore.
REZMORAH (BR/PT/US)

Ritual electronic visions, eco-queer myths and metamorphic performance.
Rooted in ritual, club culture and eco-queer mythology, Brazilian artist REZMORAH creates an intense blend of electronic sound, spoken word and performance. Her work moves between concert, ceremony and performance art, inviting audiences into a space where bodies, identities and realities are in constant transformation.
Raised between Brazil, Portugal and New York, she draws inspiration from myths, nature and ideas of other ways of living and existing. In her work, REZMORAH creates new worlds where bodies, identities and beings are constantly transforming, and where ritual, music and performance become ways of imagining new forms of survival and possibilities for change. A REZMORAH concert is a hypnotic and physical experience in which imagination and creativity open other possible futures.

Transfeminist noiserock from Buenos Aires.
Punk quartet Blanco Teta combines abrasive noiserock, performance and activism in an explosive sound that challenges norms around bodies, gender and musical form, with a distorted cello at its centre.
Blanco Teta create an immersive live experience where punk and noise collide, channelling a fierce political agenda into intense bursts of sound and confrontational performance. With an unconventional rock setup that forgoes the guitar in favour of a distorted cello at its centre, the band moves between the melodic, the noisy and the physical. Their music is closely connected to a transfeminist practice, where body, gender and identity become integral parts of the artistic expression. Blanco Teta have performed at festivals including Roskilde Festival, Le Guess Who? and Fusion Festival.
